Havana, Cuba. Far from the newly built resorts, the urban life of the regular Cuban is a continuous struggle to provide for the basic needs of the family.

Havana, Cuba. Employees at a common Cuban store are checking the inventory on a Saturday morning. Most of the basic food staples are subsidised but come in strict quotas for each Cuban.

Havana, Cuba. Locals are making small talk with the owner of a fruit cart. The price of the fruits offered for sale is adjusted for tourists; a local could not afford to pay the amount asked by the fruit cart owner.
