wow! what a different world this is...for once in my life, i'm the minority. and i think everyone should experience that at least once. then maybe the world wouldn't be such a cruel place after all. so after traveling in the air and waiting for planes over 24 hours, coming to hong kong and seeing the shithole i would be staying in was a interesting experience. haha i'm so spoiled so i don't normally get a hostel room to share with 4 other people. it hasn't been too bad, though. until this morning when i wake up to three people packing and crumpling their plastic bags over and over again! i must say that the bathrooms in this place are pretty interesting...i thought i had the great idea of inventing a shower with the toilet in it, but noooo they beat me to it. i reckon, you can kill two birds with one stone. and man i've never gotten up so early in my life. and by 9 pm i can hardly keep my eyes open. but i know we haven't seen nothing yet. hong kong is like new york. lights everywhere. big buildings. everything's in english. and everyone wants to sell you something, especially if you're caucasian. and of course i stick out like a sore thumb. but the food is awesome. haven't broke down and bought mcdonalds yet. although, the mcdonald's here looks pretty nice. mel and i have walked everywhere. and it's just amazing. i'm so grateful to be apart of this and i wish all of you could share it with us....stay tuned!
