In Argentina

Made it to Argentina about 2 hours ago after a fairly challenging day! I got back from my Uyuni salt flat tour last night, and decided to go this morning on a 5am trip to Tupiza, Villazon and then over the border into Argentina where I had planned to go onto Cordoba before heading to Buenos Aires in a couple of days to fly out on the 20th of October...

First obstacle, Woke up at 4am to pack my bag and started throwing up and just felt all around ill... Had to reconsider whether it was such a good idea to travel but braved it... The first 4 hour section was hell as the car was chockers full of loud and arrogant Bolivian males, the road was really really really bumpy (that´s right - not all that good when you are feeling highly nauseated...) and it was freezing cold... Made it though to this little village (can´t remember the name of...) and had to wait another 3 hours for the next colectivo to leave for Tupiza... Again, the car was jammed packed, this time I was squashed next to an individual, by judging from his body odour, had not bathed in at least 2 weeks (again not the best for an upset tummy), but by this time was stinking hot and the road was really bumpy and dusty - this lasted 4 hours... Once I got to Tupiza, I had to wait another hour for a bus bound for Villazon which is the Bolivian/Argentinian border town... Got there and had to wait about an hour at immigration, finally made it to the bis terminal on the other side pretty wrecked, only to find out that the buses leaving for Cordoba don´t actually leave until 11 at night hence why I am writing this entry (ro ward of excessive bordom...). So I know have another 16 hour bus trip to undertake in a few hours - Yay! I am excited!

I did meet some really interesting French girls at the border however who are journalists traveling the world interviewing woman who have taken on big projects throughout the world... If anyone of you reading this can speak French, feel free to check out their website www.81femmes.org as it sounds like a really interesting project and worth a little bit of support...

Will be on my merry way!

Love you all
