Interacting at the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

(2) In the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, a nearby glass exhibition case creates a horizontal distortion of Nick Savvas’ vertical artwork “Showtime 1999”, when a MCA guest walks by. In a gentle wink to the viewer, I was playing with the idea of making art with art. There is Savvas’ work and then there is my addition to it, which can add to or alter the original meaning. A very contemporary idea.

Ideas about how we make and record art, who is the author of the works we create and how globalisation and technology change the way we communicate with each other, are all playing out in everyday life.
