Scenes of daily life in the rural villages of Maharashtra

Women and children suddenly overwhelmed by their curiosity for the camera, in a typical daily scene in Asade village. The region is confined between the biodiversity-rich Western Ghats and Pune City, and is historically famous for being the powerbase of the Maratha Empire during the 17th Century.
