One of Europe's busiest subway systems, the Paris Métro is the key to getting from one arrondissement to the next. Trains at rush hour are often tight, so prepare to be squished.

From the entrance of Sacré Coeur, Paris's expanse seems infinite. Many visitors scurry down the steps towards the center of Montmartre, while others stop to wonder at the rooftops.
