Many of the classrooms had shelves in which students could place their belongings. They are all empty now, holding on to the name tags and stickers once bestowed upon them by their young users.

A kendo shinai rests on the floor of a boy's bathroom adjacent to the gymnasium. Even though the buildings have been mostly cleaned out, items still remain as if to serve as an eerie reminder of the times once enjoyed here.

Three sides of the school have been seriously compromised structurally by sinkholes caused by the earthquake and extreme saturation from the tsunami. In this view from a second floor classroom you can see the remains of the road that at one time went from the front of the school to the rear parking lots.
