We flew for over nine hours through the night to arrive around midday in the City of Angels, where we were greeted by an extremely excited but ultimately very odd border guard. We found our way to the hotel in Beverly Hills, took a bit of a stroll around and then just went back to the hotel and took it handy.
By the way, the image above shows our Air New Zealand aeroplane on the tarmac at the incredibly quaint Rarotonga airport. A bit different to LAX.
