Two-Storey Trams

HONG KONG | Sunday, 15 July 2007 | Views [570] | Comments [2]

Hong Kong has the world's only two-storey trams, a trip on one of which will cost you no more than 20 of your Euro cents. Given that it was Sunday, and the locals were in chill out mode by unusually having picnics on the streets, we took to the trams and travelled throughout the northern part of Hong Kong island.

After having spent €1.60, we felt that our money could be better spent on a lovely roast Irish dinner, which we found in Delaney's. It seems they have a greasy Irish breakfast as well, which we may test and report back on tomorrow. We'll need the energy such fare provides for our nine hour trip to see Kathrina and Barry in Australia.

This evening we took a few pictures to remember this city's awesome nightime appearance. One of these is above.

Such a class photo.
Ye are not missing much back here - except that weather is terrible. There has not been a single day without rain since June 13th!!!
