Mount Fuji

JAPAN | Wednesday, 27 June 2007 | Views [470] | Comments [1]

Today saw us visit Mount Fuji, Japan's most significant physical landmark, located about an hour to the south of Tokyo. Travelling by bus, with a slection of international tourists and locals brave enough to take a day off work, we climbed about half way to the peak - by climbed, of course, we mean this was as far as the bus went, and you can be sure we dared go no further. On the return trip, we tested our courage on a cable car after a relaxing but surprising trip on a (mock) pirate ship (yarr) - all very chilled out and befitting our honeymoon philosophy. We got back to the hotel late in the evening, giving us a chance to witness the buzz of late night Tokyo.

Thanks for listening, more anon.
