We touched the ground in Narita Airport, Tokyo, yesterday morning around 9:30, before getting a bus and taxi to the hotel. Our hotel, it seems, is in the middle of the business district in Tokyo, which it must be said is incredibly clean and quiet. Feels very much like "Lost in Translation", with desperately polite people and clinical efficiency. We haven't gone downtown yet, so we can't really comment on the genuine Japanese experience, but we'll get to this as soon as we adjust to Japanese time - which, after an 11 hour flight - is our first main challenge.
No photos or stories, so we'll sign off with the promise to post more later.
