So i awoke in the morning hungover to the sounds of Yvonne knocking on my door telling me that we were getting kicked out of the hotel.. and looking at my phone i realised that it was 1pm so that was fair enough!

We then went and said goodbye to Edwardo who had to start work early that morning after drinking til 4ish.. But he was asleep in one of the rooms and so we ended up waiting for about an hour while one of the staff tried to find him! Then we caught the bus to Comitan which i really enjoyed because i just put my ipod on and looked around at the scenery as we travelled there.. However when we rocked up i realised that i felt like i was going to pass out as i hadn´t eaten all day and was extremely dehydrated! So we got lunch and i felt better! yay..

Comitan was a really nice town.. There were beautifully paved roads and it was very very clean! We pretty much just checked into the hotel (which by popular opinion was the worst hotel that we stayed at!).. And had a bit of a look around the town.. Every town that we went to in Chiapas had a big square in the centre of the city.. In Comitan at about 10pm i went for a walk to the square to find people playing some really cool mexican music on classical guitar and bongos.. and people standing in a circle around them dancing... It was a very cool atmosphere, and i stayed for a bit watching.. I then went home and went to bed..

Friday, 20th July, 2007

Friday was quite a long day! We took a bus up to a national park where there were some walking tracks and big blue lakes.. We took a walk on one of the tracks and found a cool little cave type thing with a river flowing through it.. Thats about all that we did here as we decided that we didn´t want to accept any of the about 20 offers of people trying to get money off of us to give us a tour of the place and we really didn´t know where to walk as there were no signs.. So we decided to head back to Comitan and get another bus to San Cristobal where we were meeting up with Edwardo and his sister...

We arrived at San Cristobal at about 8pm.. We found ourselves a hotel and then headed to a bar where we started our big night of drinking with a few beers! About 12pm we went to another bar called ¨the circus¨ where there was a cool band playing kinda reggae slash mexican music which was very cool.. The mexican people really like to dance and so i felt like i had to be on the dance floor! So after a few 2 for 1 cocktails i finally made it on to the floor... It was quite fun and i tried to learn some mexican dancing, but was really no good!

After here we went to another bar where Yvonne and Felix tackled the infamous ¨Mayan Sacrifice¨ which is a drink pretty much guaranteed to end your night! Which it did for them but i stayed out for a bit with the others and ended up going to a party that about 15 or so english speaking mexican guys and girls were having back at their apartment.. I pretty much took over DJing duties upon arrival and had everyone singing their lungs out to some Radiohead.. It was very fun... The party ended at about 6am or so when the owner of the apartment shut off the power to the apartment cos we were too loud so everything went pitch black!! It was a fun night!

Today i was hungover... That is all..

Sunday, 22nd July, 2007

Sunday and Monday were pretty much relaxing days. On sunday we just wandered the town, got lunch at a really really cool vegetarian restaurant, which was good because i had pretty much just been eating Quesadillas (tortias with cheese) for the last two weeks!! Then we went to this cool church up a huge staircase on the top of a big hill, where we got a view of the entire town.. And then we went out to a Thai restaurant for dinner and stayed there for a few hours.. And that was about it..

Monday, 23rd July, 2007

On monday we did pretty much the same. We went to the very cool markets which were very colourful and had some awesome stuff there.. Some finely woven scarves and rugs, tshirts, jewelery, toys, and other random things.. This was a about it for today again..

Tuesday, 24th July, 2007

Tuesday we took another tour, this was very cool.. We went to a big canyon with a river flowing through it and we took a boat cruise through it.. At its highest point from the river to the top of the canyon was around 1000m.. It was crazy.. When we arrived at about 10.30am the clouds were very low and were inside the canyon so that you couldn´t see the top.. And then by the time we headed back, the clouds had lifted and you could see the top to the canyon.. And I saw monkeys!!! I had been waiting to see monkeys in the wild and thought that it wasn´t going to happen but we saw some monkeys in the trees on the side of the river!! Yay.. We also saw crocodiles on the banks of the river, which was very exciting!

From here we took another bus to Tuxtla, the capital of Chiapas.. We found a hotel and then went to bed!

Wednesday, 25th July, 2007

Wednesday we caught a taxi to the airport, got lunch and then flew back to Mexico City.. That was about it.. When we got back to mexico city i went to burger king and got Yvonne to ask for a whopper with no meat.. They looked at us like we were from another planet!

And that brings me to the end of my Chiapas adventures.. I had a lot of fun!
