My Son

UNITED KINGDOM | Thursday, 23 July 2009 | Views [406] | Comments [3]

Today I went on a tour to My Son where there are ruins from the Cham era - about the 13th century. It was a beautiful setting, right in the middle of the mountains. Then took a boat trip back to Hoi An which was just wonderful. Everything here is poscard-picture perfect and I have way too many landscape shots on my camera! It is absolutely boiling here (not that I'm trying to rub it in or anything).

The sun has been out constantly for the last two days and by about 3 o clock it is too hot to do anything. All the locals seem to fall asleep at their market stalls and I just sit in the shade by the river and watch the world go by.

Back to the hotel now to chill and then out for dinner on the riverside. Leaving for Hue tomorrow morning which is supposed to be amazing.

Lots of love

xx

Darling Clo
Sounds like another perfect day. You seem to be able to familiarise yourself with everything very quickly - how lovely to be able to combine the mpountain visit with a boat trip back. Today is Grandad and Babas 60th wedding anniversary! It was wonderful to stand outside the church where they were married and Baba met a couple of people whose families she had known all those years ago. We even got to go into her primary school which she had first stepped inside 80 years ago - how incredible is that. Becky bought us lunch at The Saracens Head where Grandad and Baba had had their wedding reception, they were full of things they remembered about the day - it was very special. Of course you were the topic of much conversation and they send all their love and look forward to seeing you when you return. All love mum xxxxxxxxx

Hi Darling - all right for those (mum) who can while away her time lunching!! - last day of Summer camp tomorrow - the week has gone really well and the weather has just about held - could do with some of your sun right now! - Kitty Chris and I are at Habs for a helpers social tonight - Domino's Pizza's and fourteen gallons of coke I think...weather not quite BBQ conditions though I think it was more of an effort for the lads to organise! Mountain trip sounds truly amazing as does the boat trip..oh to be sampling that delicious cuisine!

Yeah we really could do with some of your sun. Its been a bit wet here and not as warm atall as it should be.
Can you cook these meals for us when you get home, you're living the high life eating at restaurants all the time.
Don't watch the world go by too long, you've gotta get cracking buying me lots of presents :)

Love you baby.
