Wahhhh what an amazing day. The boys were really tired and henry wanted to get his tattoo done so i decided to go solo round bangkok. its really safe and heaving with backpackers so no worries. After Kho San which is just markets I got on a boat. I met some nice Scottish people who were going on to spend 6 weeks in Cambodia. From the boat we passed all the temples and big hotels. Went all the way to central stop then came back again! Met an American family on the way back - andy and friends. They were really cool and we even got chatting about politics as andy studied a masters in International Relations. Experienced my first Bangkok rain whcih wasnt that bad at all and really brings the temperature down. Got off at a stop later than i needed to and there were these amazing fish in the water. People were throwing loads of bread at them and they just went absolutely crazy. Met some thai people there who taught me how to say hello and thankyou. They also let me throw some of the bread at the fish which was nice. Then i took a nice long walk home passing all the people in their shops. Lots of street food as well so i picked up some prawn crackers and a fanta! Tomorrow I think we will get the 150B day pass for the boat and just hop on and off to see all the temples/wats. Going to find a good place to eat tonight and then a well earned and very long sleep.
Really, really happy in an amazing hotel in an amazing city. Looking forward to doing it all over again for the next 6 weeks. Although the adventures today were enough to last a lifetime! Got to go as my 10B internet has run out.
Lots of love from Bangkok
