    The Hukou waterfall is the largest on the yellow river, and a popular tourist site. Even in rural China, there is still a great deal of pollution, evident here with the dust mask worn. The waterfall spray containing dust and dirt picked up along route. by: charlottesams Views[330] The black dragon sits atop the hill in Qikou town, looking straight out to the famous yellow river. Here lit up by a local hotel's red light pollution, and sat beneath the stars. by: charlottesams Views[376] An elderly woman takes time out of closing her fruit stall to weigh apples with an old fashioned form of scales. by: charlottesams Views[202] Wubao is an abandoned town overlooking part of the yellow river, where now only one couple remains. This room is one of many that had been left to deteriorate, with the paint peeling of the ceiling, and dust smothering the floor, and yet the sunlight streaks through the intricate window in a beautiful way. by: charlottesams Views[232] Children play around in the streets of Qikou, and a young boy, curious in the camera, step away to watch, while casually swinging his bag. Many people in these rural parts had never, or rarely, seen white people, so were fascinated in simply watching. by: charlottesams Views[359]
