Bangkok- day 11!

Today we went to the Dusit Zoo!!!!!

It was the best Zoo I have ever been too! Probably because you can get so up and personal with the animals and they had heaps of free shows on: including the seals, the Thai wildlife show and the Kenyan boys acrobatic show......

The only thing I could say I didn't like about the day was the Elephant show that was tacked on to the end of the Kenyan boys acrobatic show. They make the Elephants: stand on their front legs (doing like a handstand), sit on their bums upright etc) We just thought it was awful cause they are so huge it just looked so unnatural and uncomfortable for them........ (photos in the gallery)

Before the elephant show, we got to feed them and were able to hang with them for as long as we liked. We also got photos taken with a Thai animal that was climbing all over Ross's shoulder and I got to hold a baby Thai skunk! Hahahha (They didn't tell me he was a skunk until afterwards of course! At least he was cute!) I LOVED IT! (Photos in the gallery)

We didn't leave the Zoo til late afternoon and we walked back to the Hotel which took around 30mins. Along the road near Dusit Palace are marques being set up for miles and miles. We guessed that they are setting up for the Thai new year which is in April. They have big city wide water fights …We will be in Ko Tao by then, I wonder if they will do anything for New Year?

We had dinner at a food stall that we had walked past a few times. It was fantastic! We had a spicy prawn salad, squid with red curry paste and veges and pork with green veges. It all came to 190Baht hahahah ($6.50AUS)

Then we went and found the pancake man who makes pancakes filled with banana and condensed milk drizzled over the top. That was my favourite.

Anyway now we are off to sleepies. We bought a DVD to play in the computer but it didn't work so Goodnight everybody! xoxooxoxxo
