We've just had an amazing day. It was the last day of the healing school and Randy Clarke prayed for each student - all 1000 of us! - for impartation. Its a scene that is hard to describe, but there are those of you that can just imagine. Holy Spirit chaos!
We started off by hearing a few testimonies from the students. One student was on a treasure hunt this week and went up to a guy wearing 'blue shirt and blue pants' according to his 'treasure map'. He asked if he could pray for him. His wife became teary eyed and told him that her husband had a rare form of cancer. He's been in constant pain and they're on their way to buy luggage to fly to the hospital for treatment. So the bethel student prays for him. He starts to cry because his pain is gone, which does not happen normally. He was so touched that he recommitted his life to Jesus.
Another story was from Julie, a friend of one of my housemates. She was walking down the road and she walked passed a guy on the opposite side of the road. He was talking to an invisible 'friend'. She said softly under her breath 'schitzophrenia be gone in Jesus name'. The guy turns and shouts to her from across the road 'And what about the prescription drugs?'. So she prays under her breath 'prescription drugs be gone in Jesus name'. Then he turns and shouts 'what about the non-prescription drugs?'. So Julie prays about that. Then he shouts 'what about the other drugs?' So Julie prays about that too. He had no way of hearing her prayers, but Jesus' life giving power is released when we pray
