I've just arrived back from a few days at the YWAM base in Chico, called 'Springs of livng water'. In the 1930's Hollywood stars used to stay at the Richardson Springs hotel to enjoy the springs in the area. The pungent smell of sulphur is still very much present. When we first arrived I felt like I'd entered cowboy and indian country. As it turns out, I was right. There used to be indians in the area. There were about 250 of us there and it was a good time of connecting with some new people. Its quite difficult to meet people when there's a group of 1000 students. But its good to be home again and to jump into the pool in this 30 degree weather :-)
