    They are experts in the field of basket-weaving. In the most rural areas of Rwanda, you will often find that women congregate and practice their amazing skills with a needle. These talented women gather to talk about their families and at the same time create a piece of work that can later be sold or traded for different materials. Most often they sale baskets to tourists and people looking for a particularly colorful artifact from the very Rwandan soil and crops. by: cecihernandez Views[1938] If you look into her eyes, you don’t just see a woman whom is complying with her daily routine of walking miles to find some clean water. You don’t see fatigue and anguish. You don’t see brokenness and remorse. In fact, when you look into her eyes, you see Amahoro, and that means Peace. You find deep within, that not only is she a survivor of the 1994 genocide, she is also most joyous and willing. There’s something special about the Rwandan people, they are recovering from destruction and they find within themselves the ability to persevere and empower others to build a better life for the people around them. by: cecihernandez Views[622] I am not sure that there is a better way to explain the ingenuity that occurs in some of the most rural places in Rwanda, Africa.
