Fluttering his eyelids in a peaceful sleep, this cherished baby has been carefully placed amongst it’s mothers produce whilst she sells traditional hand made cloth at a local market in the remote hills of Sapa.

Worshiping Ancestors is perhaps the strongest tradition in Vietnam. Shrines and places of worship can be found in the most obscure places. This ancient tree has been used to host traditional incense and gifts for one families ancestors.

Relieved to have just been married, this bride looks adoringly at her relatives son. Reluctant to part with them, he clutches playing cards, a much loved traditional game across Vietnam and a great form of entertainment for the young during the long hours of a traditional wedding.
