Bagan´s true face

My name is Carlos Pérez and I live in Mexico City. I have been taking pictures since young, but I have been really taking on photography for the past 2 years.
I like to consider myself as a visual thinker. I try to do as many things I can with images, but photography has always pulled me towards it. It just moves me in a different way than any other art. Being in front of an image I love gives me mixed emotions: Excitement, adrenaline and a little fear strikes me as I point the camera thinking that I could capture something great. But I have to say that people fascinate me and capturing moments is what I’m always looking for with my lens. knowing that you captured an instant forever on your own terms.
I’m on a crossroad in my life right now, and photography calls to me louder and louder every time. I’m constantly traveling and trying to know as much of the world as I can. So this assignment would really be the greatest adventure of my life. Learning from Jason in Oman on a photo assignment with National Geographic? It doesn’t get any better than that for me. NG has been a way for me to explore the world; but know it is time for me to show the world how I explore it.
