This was the longest leg of our trip, at 35 hours. We hopped on the train, that went from Irkutsk to Minsk, and shared a kupe with a sweet older Russian woman who was going to Novosibirsk and then flying home to Yakutsk in the faaar north. She bought us tea, and shared all her food with us and was lovely - again, the phrasebook was indispensable. She got off, and another woman got on, followed by a younger couple. Michael and I got a lot of reading done on that train...
