My name is Camille, I live in Tasmania Australia. Up until this point I have been raising my two children, now they are grown it is time I pursue my dream. My life long dream has been to become a photojournalist. At 41yrs old I believe it is never to late! My life experience has given me an insight into the world around me that is evident in my work.

My passion is photography, for me its about being fully present in the moment and exploring every detail, it's the privilege of being let into others lives if only for a second. I love travel, exploring other cultures, I am an observer of people, I am in awe of the world around me, whether it be capturing a beautiful image or finding beauty in the ugliness, I am forever striving to capture the perfect photo. It's my hope that that my images might provoke emotion, challenge, stir the spirit and bring awareness of the world around us.
I am ready to go where ever this journey takes me.

Why do I want to win this scholarship? Because I want more than anything to get better! I want to learn! I believe I have the commitment drive and desire to be a great photojournalist; I am ready to start living the dream, and this would be the perfect opportunity to show I have what it takes.
