Skimboarding – In Mati, Davao Oriental, a skim boarding championship wraps up. Each year the Mati hosts a national skim boarding event attracting male boarders nation-wide. Riders from around the country spend a weekend catching waves, and showing off their best tricks to impress the judges. Because of the limited equipment required, skim boarding has become a popular sport and hobby for many men in the Philippines.
