My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm 25 and graduated from the Environmental Studies program from the University of Ottawa. I've been travelling as much as my budget can (and sometimes can't) afford, and have been lucky enough to see a lot of Canada and the United States and visit Argentina and Scotland within the last couple years. I'm going back to school in the fall to study natural resource governance. After studying human geography, I love watching how people and cultures develop and interact with their physical and biological surroundings. I love how completely different perspectives and paradigms can form in places both close and far. I love seeing different ways of living, and being inspired by nature. I love communicating how amazing the world can be through many mediums (photography, writing, and painting) and I would love for a chance to learn how to better do that through photos. I've only ever had the time and money to capture images and feelings with a simple point-and-shoot, and I would love to learn how to better convey moments captured by cameras.
