By the stonework, this gate on the Temple grounds could be anywhere in the world, but the Hindi script transforms it into an elegant and and uniquely Indian structure.

The path to the Monkey Temple (Galwar Bagh) is cobbled and eroding; women, and a sacred cow, rest on the steps as small children race ahead.

Rhesus Monkeys overrun the property of the Temple colloquially named for them. This mother and baby were feigning disinterest in the visitors, until food was offered.
