Saigon

Arrived very early in the morning on the overnight train from Sapa to Saigon. Got a few hours rest in our hotel before heading out on a whistlestop sightseeing tour of Saigon. Visited the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh where his preserved body is on display. Next stop was a large multi storey markets followed by a wander down to the lake (dodging the crazy traffic all the way), a quickshaw ride and then icecream at the best gelato place in Saigon.

We had our final formal lunch with all the group where Ian and Peter were announced as the winning team, with Fiona and I in second place. Very excited about our prize - a guided tour of one of the cancer research facilitie to meet the scientists involved.
