'Waiting mothers' have their own rooms built for the last month of pregnancy. This allows them access to immediate medical help, but also to relax and connect with other waiting mothers.

A nurse prepares her room before patients arrive, she can see up to 60 per day. Resources are extremely low, even the patient records are detailed and separated by bits of cardboard as seen here.

Success! A healthy baby born at 3 am the night before is comforted by her mother and Aunt. This is becoming a more common occurrence now, and word is spreading throughout villages that the health clinics are a valuable asset to the local people.
