Hi dear family
Woke day 11 to a refreshing -20. It was a very adventurous day starting at 8am and finishing at midnight. We have been very lucky with the temperatures so far so these cold temps were good to feel at the end of the trip (I think).
Girls loved the husky puppy encounter. Molly's dog was Terror! and Evie had Ti Amo. They were allowed to run them and you can see how cold it was by the frozen eye lashes on the girls.
Day got colder as it went one. Ice fishing was an experience that we will never forget - not saying one we should have done but one we won't forget! It was a slow trip to the ice lake as their were reindeer all over the road for some reason today but this was cool to see. Then we snow mobilled to the lake and temp -50 whilst riding (Yeh!). On the lake it was a mild -25. Very cold as it was pitch black. Rog drilled the whole - through about 50cms of ice. Then we took our little rods and jingled them in the freezing water. You will see by the pictures evie hated every minute of this optional excursion. Molly loved it.
We then stopped at the church on the way home for a Christmas service which was gorgeous.
We then had dinner and waited to 11pm to go for a walk to try and see the northern lights. It was too cloudy but fun all the same.
Enjoy pictures.
Love Bel.
