By Foad Shafighi All the five pictures in this journal were taken around the Bouddhanath stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal between June and July 2012.

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

One of the surprising scenes one might encounter in Nepal is the women labor for building constructions. In Nepal women work even harder than men when it comes to construction, however they are paid less. They carry heavy loads of construction materials while bearing most of the weight on their forehead. The young girl in the picture was working in a construction site around the Bouddhanath.
