Tractor Toll Up To 13
The number of people killed following an accident involving a tractor overturning in Yunnan province on Sunday has risen to 13, eight of whom were students, after two more people died in the hospital overnight, local authorities said yesterday.
The tractor plunged into a 12-m ditch at about 2 pm in the town of Sanchahe, Fengqing county. The county government will pay 3,000 yuan ($425) to the families of each of the 13 people killed.
