As I walked in downtown Denver, a man wearing an army jacket approached me asking for some change. I searched my pockets and gave him my last dollar. As he walked away, I asked him if I could take his picture. He responded, "Well, my dear, there isn't much left of me, but go ahead." His name was Michael, and he informed me that he was a Colonel during the Vietnam war. The war changed his life-physically, emotionally, and mentally, but still believes in hope.
