My name is Abigail Denniston. Up until Ocotber of 2012 I had been working very hard to enter into a more professional realm of picture taking. I am currently studying an MA in photography. I had never studied photography before and all I knew were my own explorations of the medium. As I became more serious about photography and gained confidence in my artistic potential my experience and opportunities blossomed. 

I sent submission after submission and asked in every kind of venue if they would be interested in displaying my work. I started creating small conceptual projects to work on, mostly involving photographs of people and thus began applying locally for exhibition opportunities.

I am thriving in the academic environment and love learning from like-minded students. I am spending most of my time on the streets and in the darkroom and I cannot wait for the opportunity to travel again. Anywhere I have ventured I have travelled alone. I believe experience is a very intimate thing and to truly experience the unfamiliar we have to feel displaced. This can be lonely but your encounters with others thus become meaningful and an unforgettable part of your journey.
