The story behind this recipeThe first time I went to Thailand in 2010 I immediately fell in love with its people, its temples and especially its food, so I went back.
Life is made of sensations but nowhere else can you find more than in Thailand. The smell of spice and Thai food is present all day long, everywhere, and it makes me mind travel far far away to exotic lands. I feel alive!
In just one Thai dish there is a myriad of sensations that make me taste-travel high up in just one second: chili, lemongrass, coconut, garlic, ginger, lime. All of these spices traverse at a fast speed my body and mind, like a blast of opposite feelings blending into perfect harmony. My senses are burning!
Happiness in a bowl! In a bowl of chicken satay...This is my home away from home, far far away from Romania, my true home.
My guide to this enchanted realm is an amazing Thai woman called Kwan. Her passion for cooking inspires me. Together with my husband we learn to cook a special kind of chicken satay, this time the chicken is not on a stick but on the plate, swimming in it's mouth watering peanut sauce. Chicken satay is originally an Indonesian dish but it integrates perfectly into the Thai cuisine. A successful recipe for the perfect taste, made with love. Enjoy!
