Happiness only real when shared. A lone female proboscis monkey sits in her enclosure, held captive by melancholy and glass walls. Animals need companions too.

A female white-crowned hornbill surrendered to the whims of forthcoming visitors.
She was a shy and elusive rainforest dweller. But she has since been captured, caged and has to endure the nuisance of the thousands of bird park visitors.

‘Hey dad, is the crocodile dead?’
Despite daily harassment of knocking and thumping by visitors, the giant croc floated lifelessly in a tank too small for comfort, his foreleg dangled in resignation to the freedom he lost years ago.
