Traveling to other lands is often exciting. You get to play out your expectations of your arrival in your head, but as animated, vivid or dramatic as it may be, it never matches the sight that visits you especially looking out of the plane’s window. This aerial shot of vast Canada is one of the many scapes that prove this notion true. On a trip by airplane across Canada (east to west) you are likely to see over 5 different types of terrains and by extension ecosystem. A reminder of how environmental diversity in isolation results in beauty cumulatively

Purposefully named after the song with the same title. I marveled at this 1950s taxi. Why? Because when you are from the third world, it is always amusing to see first-hand the elements of large cities as depicted by television. To me the yellow taxi is a symbol, a reflection of a well thought transportation system that is still to reach remote parts of the globe.

Sea-gulls are a common sight in industrial countries. Large, loud and a bother to all residents of the countries in which the birds can be found as they litter the docks and shorelines. I estimate 3% of locals / nationals in countries where seagulls are found have pictures of the feathered loud-horn. As for me, I live in a country with no sea-gulls. Long and short of it; I was fascinated with the birds and I own 60 photographs of the specie fit for publication. This particular shot speaks of the mischievousness and majesty of the gulls. Finding warmth in a chimney and especially, striding with outstretched wings, speaks of the regality one can discover in mundane, as long as the subject is observed through refreshed eyes.
