Monks are dependent on on the generosity of others for their most basic needs. Alms bowls sit cleaned and ready for the morning walk. Each morning Monks walk the streets to receive gifts food and water from the public. In exchange the monks will recite a prayer fo the donor. Siem Reap - Cambodia

Orange robes dry outside the monk's dormitory. No washing machines or air conditioners here. The home built on stilts allows air to pass under the floorboards proving some relief from the oppressive heat. Siem Reap - Cambodia

A young monk stares out the window of a temple oblivious. I held up my camera toask permission for a photo. There was absolutley no reaction, as if he was entranced. So I took a few photos and left him to his contemplation. Siem Reap - Cambodia
