Barbers of India he photos in this Journal are from a recent trip to India where I focused on Barbers. I photographed 68 barbers from Kashmir in the north to as far as Mumbai. The choice to do barbers was simply a fascination with humans love of hair and my own hair loss.

Rustic charm meets a brand new hair style as this barber grooms his subject with the precision of a surgeon. Huts like this are a common place for barbers and often a community of five or six barbers huts can be seen, with all the barbers sharing banter and trade between them.
