The Day the Camera Died

BRAZIL | Wednesday, 22 October 2008 | Views [652]

Ladies and Gentlemen. We´re gathered here today to say a sad farewell to our dear companion Mr Olympus Shockproof Waterproof.
Accompanying us on every adventure from great altitudes (6088m above sea level - Bolivia) to the mysterious depths (6m below sea level - Galapagos)and eveything in between,  he´s been there for us.  Tackling ferocious Pumas and special needs Ocelots, his work was never done.Through great dry deserts, across gigantuan lakes and into steamy jungles, he never wavered.Dealing with us in moments of great fatigue, drunkeness and sheer stupidity, he never judged.Sad was the day he was taken ill.  Hope lingered while he was in intensive care - he never quit trying to recover but his time had come.Already we miss you dearly - Rest in Peace Oly.Olympus Shockproof Waterproof (right to the end) 2007 - 2008.
