My Scholarship entry - b-ISTANBUL: the bridge between two worlds
Turkey | Thursday, November 20, 2014 | 5 photos
I've never cared too much about photography until I met a guy who made me discover what there really was across the lenses: a new world!
Since then I've started looking at things in a different way. I've found out that photography is to me a means to experience life and understand different cultures, having the chance to share stories few would have noticed.
I've always been passionate about traveling, but before discovering photography, it was just moving from one place to the other! Now travelling is living, understanding and sharing. More than the Nature, I'm interested in people and in their daily life, because I think that through others' culture we can better understand ours. With my stories I would like to inspire others to be more tolerant and to carry on positive social changes.
I know I still have a long way to go before reaching that point where my picture would be truly communicative. That's why I'm eager to win this scholarship.
I have a degree in Communication but no professional education in photography, and I'm still looking for my own way to express myself. Until I found my voice I would not be able to give voice to the daily struggle of others.
