A metropoli melting pot of different cultures

My Scholarship entry - b-ISTANBUL: the bridge between two worlds

The Eminonu Pier is located along the southern end of the Galata Bridge and consists of multiple docks for ferries cruising along or crossing the Bosphorus. Since the city is built on different pieces of lands separated by the sea, ferries are the most efficient public transport used by anyone. While this place is usually overcrowded, at the sunrise, it can be an incredibly peaceful place. Eminonu covers roughly the area on which the ancient Byzantium was built, and it is still the core part of the city.
