“Read! In the Name of your Lord”, reading as an act of worship on a holy night.

A sacred space is made of the people that nourish it through acts of spirituality. This picture was taken in the Blue Mosque on Lailat Ul’Qadar, a highly revered night for Muslims. On this night, there was a strong sense of harmony and community that I have never experienced before.

The beauty of this night was that there were many people trying to get into the mosque yet there was no pushing, just harmony, while everyone prayed together in unification.
