The visual medium is something I deal with on a daily basis as a TV reporter in the Philippines. I have seen a lot in 8 years: from vanishing traditions, conflict, and natural disasters. I take my still camera with me wherever I go. Powerful photos give me such a surge of emotion in a way that even video cannot achieve. I find myself getting drawn more and more into the medium. I want to get better, and working with Jason will be such an valuable experience. I hope that in the future, I will be able to use photography to transport my audience to places they've never seen, and understand people they've never met. Ultimately, I think that sharing stories with each other can change the world, and sometimes a single photo can do that.
