Well I turned 22 on the 22nd of April today. and it was a fantastic day! I'm extremely tired now but wow what a day! i really wish I could talk to my family but it doesn't look like it's going to work out. The phones here are broken.
I woke up this mornin in an amazing mood. Followed by some good morning conversations and some happy birthdays. We went to lectures and then a yummy lunch (grill cheese sandwhiches :) ). In the afternoon we went to the Buderim Waterfalls. so pretty! I was really excited to have the chance to do somethin special like that on my birthday. It really meant a lot that that was even suggested. Made me feel special. I've only been here 9 days and already it's an important day to celebrate with the family I've got over here. One of my fellow students even made me a balloon birthday hat that I had to wear all day. Even when hiking to the waterfalls.
That night we had pizza and Christen (one of the leaders) came over and baked a cake before our lectures. it was so good! Jay (one of the other leaders) accidentally put the icing in the cake, but it worked. So yummy! I was way to happy I had cake on my birthday. and sparklers!!!
It was a great day. Weird how it wasn't the 22nd back home though. It has been for the past 8 hours though. It's my birthday for a long time now! I'm totally counting it until my mom is out of the 22nd, which means another....17 hours! :D
