INDONESIA | Monday, 14 January 2013 | Views [314]

I am just a villager who have a big dream to be a writer. That is why I work as journalist in daily newspaper in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, after I finished my study in Biology faculty. After works as journalist for 4 years, I resign. Because, my parents are not agree with my job. They said it will not guarantee for my future and full of risk. But, I cannot deny my passion in writing. My parents are not know if I had apply to be a content writer for news portal and I got it. I am writing about technology, health, and travel.

I love foods, traveling to the new places with beautiful view, meets new people, and amazing culture. But, I have no camera and always borrow it to my friend if I traveling to a place to capture the moment. I had backpacking to Brunai Darussalam, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching. I wrote about it and posted it in my blog.

Five months ago I bought a digital camera. Finally I have it for my own. I have no skill in photography and still learning about the technique to capture a good moment.  For me, a writer is not complete if don’t know about photography. A writer and photography are like a beautiful song with good music and lyrics. It’s two become one. For example, when I write about a beautiful place, it will not complete if no photos that show how beautiful it is.

The opportunity to travel and photograph in Oman with Jason Edwards is one thing that I need. I can learn more about photography and write the experience to share it with peoples. I will write about the place that I visiting, the foods that I eat, the peoples who I meet, culture at the place, and all interesting moment in there. Of course, I will captured it with my camera.

I know it is not easy to make it happen. Many people really want to get the opportunity too. But, I will do my best. Who know it will be my dream come true to write a book. A traveler writer book!
