Provence, France

I was lucky enough to be whisked away by my London family to a secluded villa in a picturesque village in Provence, France. The village we stayed in- 'Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt-is in the same region where scenes from the Ridley Scott film "A Good Year" starring Russell Crowe was filmed. We stayed for one week and by the end I was fluent in four or so French words-Bonjour, Merci, Croissant, Au Revoir!!! Such a pity seeings as the pool boy was very good looking:)

The landscape was beyond breathtaking- filled with grape vineyards, rolling hills of infinite green, terracota houses with blue shutters; and lavender for miles. We stayed in a villa owned by friends of the family I work for and who stayed in the house with us- 3 levels, 5 bedrooms, 3 eating areas, 5 bathrooms and the longest driveway you have ever seen!  We spent the days sunbathing by the pool, taking daily trips to the village for fresh croissants and baguettes, shopping in nearby village markets and enjoying dancing and local wines by night. It was a magical holiday of which all expenses were paid and a feast for both my eyes and my taste buds! A big thank you to the S and C family for an unforgettable week and the time of my life x
