Demonstrating their masculinity and strength, Vanuatu men chant during a yam harvest and fertility ritual, an annual custom of the Pentecost people. Looking on, sits a mature Caucasian man with his legs femininely crossed. Our world has evolved, adapted and changed. The lines of gender have been crossed and blurred. Men can be more feminine than women; women more masculine than men. Does this exclude a place like Pentecost? Or is it still a secret?

On an island filled with tourists exploring, locals singing, dancing and living, sits a woman in the opening of her door. So often in life we are never alone, surrounded by people. Yet, we still feel the sting of loneliness. We are significant and insignificant in this world we share.

What makes someone rich? Three children sit side-by-side along a bench. One is fully clothed, sporting shoes, hat and water bottle; the other two sitting with none. In a world where material things and possessions mean so much, Pentecost Island reminds us all that we are equal. No matter your wealth, age, gender or skin colour.
