Turning away from the sights of lions and zebras, one can watch the Masai as they heard their cattle into Ngorongoro Crater, armed only with a stick should one of the lions look upon the herd with hungry eyes. A sight to behold.

Whether by choice, or not, she did not speak, never a word. But her eyes had this amazing quality to express anything. We sat together, not speaking, just simply sharing in each other's company. Her eyes are something that I will never forget.

The spice markets of Zanzibar, the air rich with smells and colour everywhere. Unlike many of the other stall owners, this man did not chase anyone to buy his produce. He simply sat and waited, quietly and alone with his thoughts. After taking this photgraph, he smiled at me.
