Little Mermaid statue, Copenhagen harbor

Today we were in Copenhagen.  Walking from the ship into town, took about 1 hour.  On the way we passed by the Little Mermaid and stopped to shoot a few photos.  It was a very nice walk, picturesque, quiet and good exercise.  We went by all the sights but only stopped at one, the Natural History Museum.  Saw the exhibits on the early days of the Danes - very interesting.  Went by the train station and then to the information center, picked up a map and walked back to the ship.  When we come through again I have a few sights I am planning on going to.  There are a couple different castles / palaces that I’d like to see and then of course, hit a smorgasbord type restaurant and try out the food.

Did Vinnie the Grim feel a coolio connection with his Danish forbears? One of Earl's favorite historical tales was how the Danes would rape and pillage the coast of Ireland on a regular basis.
