This placard states that this is the site of Baan Rambuttri, a traditional Thai style house that was used as a resort for royalty from the southern regions who came to pay respects to the king. (The Grand Palace is in this area.) The road is now called Soi Rambuttri and runs parallel to Khao San Road, a famous street for backpackers and tourists.
